ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Commerce was established in 1974 is one of the oldest department from the inception of the college and has started B.Com., The Faculty of the Department  have distinguished themselves in several ways. Senior Faculty Members selected through selection committee constituted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Faculty members are competent, qualified and experienced teachers . The Department actively participate in the Academic Exchange  Programme and organize a Bridge Course in Commerce, to up hold Non-Commerce students. The department has prepared and published Teaching Learning Material for B.Com., Students. Over the Years the course has evolved it self and undergone changes with the changing environment.
Business Management has become the leading era , attracting young Indians minds to peruse a vibrant career. The significant of Business Management taken a paradigm shift with the introduction of Global integrating efforts in Indian economy way back in 1991. Sri Vasavi Kanayakaparameswari  & Dr. Kalidindi Suryanarayana Raju Arts & Science College Association started the Two Years Master of Business Administration ( MBA) on fulltime Programme affiliated to Andhra University in 1993-94 with the approval of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and All India Council for Technical Education. The course structure had been implemented under semester system from the academic year with 1995-96. The intake was increased to 60 since 2002-04 academic years with the approval of AICTE , New Delhi. So far 20 Batches were trained successfully who are doing in flying colors in their career.
